Day 64. Aiudului Gorges 🏔️
Some places become reference points, not because they are famous, but because you return to them often enough that the landscape starts to feel familiar.
For Day 64, I built a small piece around Aiudului Gorges (Cheile Aiudului) in Romania, one of my favourite climbing and camping spots near Cluj-Napoca. The base map is the same as in Day 1, but the focus here is not terrain, it is how framing and navigation can carry a sense of place.
Technically, this is a Three.js scene that places three embedded web pages into 3D space using CSS3DRenderer. There is no terrain mesh. The interest is in composition and interaction: rotating and framing the panels with TrackballControls so the experience feels coherent rather than gimmicky.
It is a simpler project in terms of data, but it focuses on something I keep exploring: how framing and navigation can shape perception, even when the underlying data does not change.
